Icon holiday on Labor Day weekend

Are you working for the weekend?

On Labor Day Weekend, September 2-4, the Bluffton Icon and Ada Icon will take a holiday break Saturday-Sunday, except for breaking news, sports and obituaries.

Ada area land transfers for July 2023

The following eleven land transfers took place in the Ada Exempted Village School District in July 2023 as reported on the website of the Hardin County, Ohio auditor Michael T. Bacon HERE.

Monthly community meal this week at St. Mark's

St Mark's Lutheran Church is hosting a free community dinner on Wednesday, August 30. 

Meals will be served from 5:00 p.m.-6:30 p.m.--or until they run out--at St Mark's,125 S. Johnson St. Ada.

This month the menu includes pulled pork, corn casserole, cole slaw, applesauce and cookies.

The invitation notes: "As always, the meal is free and open to the public and you may dine in, carry out, or drive up for curbside pickup.  We look forward to serving you. See you there."

Bulldog girls soccer shuts out Lima Senior

The Ada High School girls soccer team stayed undefeated with a 3-0 road win at Lima Senior in Spartan Stadium Saturday.

Ada improved to 3-0 with the victory.

Bulldog volleyball bests Hornets

RAWSON--The visiting Ada High School varsity volleyball team defeated local foe Cory-Rawson Saturday morning in three sets.

The Lady Bulldogs improved to 4-1 after the convincing 25-17, 25-14, 25-10 non-league win.
