Now let me think a minute - I know where "D" is

Welcome to Ada’s A-B-C Summer Contest.

Each week in June and ending in the first week of July, The Icon will post two photos revealing one letter (or number) taken from Main Street Ada buildings and structures. All photos were taken in May by the Icon’s official contest photographer, Bailey Bowers. The photos cover Main from College Avenue on the south to Highland Avenue on the north.

We invite Icon viewers to keep track of the letters by identifying each letter’s location. An entry form is attached to this story for viewers to keep up to date in the contest.

Music on Main returned to downtown Ada on Friday evening. It was a great night to sit in the railroad depot park, relax, talk with friends and listen to the music.

90-second shopping spree winner

Brenda Purdy (center), winner of the Ada Music Boosters spring fund-raising raffle, claimed her prize at the Community Markets’ Ada store Friday morning by doing a 90-second shopping spree.

Brenda selected her daughter-in-law, Brandi Purdy, to run through the store on her behalf, and had the support of her grandson, Holden Purdy, at the event.

Bev Lenhart, of Community Markets, was the cashier. The Boosters thank the members of the community for a successful and award-winning school year for Ada’s many music education and performance-based programs.
