Bluffton High School's football team won an offensive battle, stopping Ada 70 to 50 at Ada.

Bluffton's Tucker Neff set a new single game rushing record of  316 yard, eclipsing Josh Falk's record of 309 yards, also against Ada in 2006.

34th annual Harvest and Herb Festival

It’s Harvest and Herb Festival weekend in Ada, in case it slipped your mind.

The 34th annual Ada Area Chamber of Commerce-sponsored festival closes Main Street Ada all day on Saturday.

 It will offer over 150 craft vendors, a kid’s area, parade, crowning of a festival queen and many food booths.

Several new features are part of this year’s festival. The feature making the most noise is a scheduled flyover by a St. Rita’s-Mercy Health helicopter to signal the start of the 10 a.m. parade.

Yes, they are dumping items out the window from the office of the Ada village administrator, Jami Hall. No, Jami Hall is still village administrator. It's his turn to have an office do-over in the municipal building's renovation.

Filled with wide assortment of designer clothing, antiques, florals, candles, homemade items

Ruthie’s Boarding Room opened this week at 220 N. Main St., Ada, and it is filled with a wide assortment of gift shop-related items provided by several vendors.

Making the shop opening official was an Ada Area Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting on Wednesday morning.

Shoppers will find everything from primitives, antiques, designer clothes, florals, candles and many homemade items.

The shop is owned by Stephanie Cotterman of North Baltimore, along with Karen DeLong of Dola. The two have a booth of items in Mt. Victory’s Touch of Country. They also participate in many craft shows in the area.

Ohio Northern head men's lacrosse coach Nat St. Laurent will guide his Redwoods team against the Whipsnakes in the inaugural Premier Lacrosse League Championship Game on Saturday at 2:30 pm.

The game will be played at Talon Energy Stadium in Philadelphia and will be shown live on NBC.

St. Laurent has served as head coach of Redwoods LC in the first season of the PLL, guiding the team to a 5-5 regular season record and two playoff victories.

Fans can watch the game live on NBC or via live stream through any of the NBC Sports platforms.

Ada hosts Van Buren Wednesday

ADA - The Ada girls soccer team lost 4-0 to Cory-Rawson Wednesday evening.

The Lady Bulldogs fell to 2-7-1 with the defeat.

C-R took an early 1-0 lead but Ada nearly tied it when a Bulldog shot caromed away off the crossbar. The game went to intermission 1-0 with the Hornets ahead.

Cory scored early in half two to double their lead and didn't look back, adding two more goals before the final minutes elapsed.

C-R out-shot the Bulldogs, 18-8. Sidney Gossard made 14 saves in goal.
