Baumann inaugurated as ONU president

The inauguration of Ohio Northern University President Dr. Melissa J. Baumann, Ph.D. took place on Wednesday, April 12 and is available to view HERE. The date was also Founder's Day, the university's annual day of giving. PHOTO Ohio Northern University.

Ohio Academy of History panel discussions open to public

Ohio Northern University will host the Ohio Academy of History’s Annual Meeting this Friday and Saturday, April 14-15, in the Dicke College of Business Administration building, 525 S. Main St., Ada.

Social studies and history students from ONU will assist with running the event. The public is welcome to attend the panels.

Sherry Lynn Evans was a hairdresser

Sherry Lynn Evans, age 74, of Ada, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Lima Memorial Health Systems. 

She was born on June 22, 1948, in Kenton, Ohio to the late Robert and Ruby (McDonald) Sidle. Sherry married Charles Thomas Evans on August 29, 1970, and he survives in Ada.

Bulldog baseball falls to big-hitting Riverdale

MT. BLANCHARD–The Ada High School varsity baseball team battled back but gave up nine runs in the late innings as Riverdale pulled away to post a 13-4 non-conference win Tuesday evening, April 11.

Ada fell to 2-4 overall with the defeat.  Riverdale improved to 5-1 with the victory.
