Adult picture entry from last year

The Ada Public Library is sponsoring a coloring contest now through the end of the month. Winners receive of each category will win a $15 Amazon gift certificate.

There are five categories by age group from 0-5 years up to adult. Coloring sheets are available at the circulation desk.

 

The ONU music department will celebrate 90 years of music at Ohio Northern with a coral collage concert at Homecoming. All music alumni are invited to sing in the choir.

The concert will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 26 in Presser Hall.  The concert will be followed by a dinner for all participants at 8:30 p.m. at Viva Maria’s Restaurant.

John W. Allison, age 92, died on Monday, October 01, 2018 at 8:00 a.m. at his residence in Bluffton.  

          He was born on October 30, 1925 in Williamsburg, PA to Wilmer M. and Anna Pearl (Sorrick) Allison who preceded him in death.  On October 25, 1947 John married Charlotte Lynn and she preceded him in death on January 26, 2009.

          John retired from the Pennsylvania Electric Company, where he worked as an electrical engineer.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran who served during WWII.  John previously lived in Inverness, FL and Clearfield, PA.  He was a member of the English Lutheran Church in Bluffton,

ADA - Ada hosts explosive Crestview in the last Bulldog home game of the season on Senior Night this Friday.

The Knights (5-1, 2-1 NWC) blew a big lead at Spencerville last Friday as the Bearcats stormed from behind to lead near the end of regulation, 49-44.

However, the Knights scored on a 14-yard Drew Kline touchdown pass as time expired to pull out a thrilling 50-49 win.

Crestview won its first four games and suffered its lone loss to Columbus Grove in week five, 33-20.

Polls will be open from 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. for the general election in Ohio on Tuesday, Nov. 6. Details about early voting are below.

 

Ada precincts North and South will vote at Community Health Professionals. Liberty Township residents will vote at Center on Central.

 

The last day to register to vote, to change an address, or to change a name is Tuesday, Oct. 9.

 

Early voting takes place at the Hardin County Board of Elections, which is located on the lower level of the courthouse in Kenton. Enter in the south doors at ground level.
