By Cort Reynolds

ADA - Ada hosts explosive Crestview in the last Bulldog home game of the season on Senior Night this Friday.

The Knights (5-1, 2-1 NWC) blew a big lead at Spencerville last Friday as the Bearcats stormed from behind to lead near the end of regulation, 49-44.

However, the Knights scored on a 14-yard Drew Kline touchdown pass as time expired to pull out a thrilling 50-49 win.

Crestview won its first four games and suffered its lone loss to Columbus Grove in week five, 33-20.

The high-powered Knight offense leads the NWC in yardage and points per game (42.5). Senior quarterback Kline tops the league in passing efficiency and rushing yardage. His favorite target Wade Sheets also leads the NWC in TD receptions.

"Crestview has a great all-state QB back in Drew Kline, and a really nice receiving corps led by Wade Sheets," Christopher noted. "Their speed is certainly something we will need to plan for.

"Keeping Kline bottled up will be the key," he continued. "He is very dangerous once he breaks contain as he keeps his eyes downfield. We have to get to work and get better all the way around."

Ada is 2-2 at home this season. Spencerville and Crestview are tied for second along with Allen East at 2-1 in the NWC, behind 3-0 Grove.

Crestview is third in the Div. VII, Region 28 computer ratings. Ada is 21st in the Div. VI, Region 22 rankings.

The Bulldogs will recognize eight seniors playing their final home game: twins Noah and Nathan Mattson, Ethan Hall, Brad Clum, Carson Hissong, Nate Nira, Jaylin Burkhart and Brayden Cheney
