It took just three years for the Ohio Northern men's lacrosse team to be recognized with the Ohio Athletic Conference's elite programs, earning a regular season OAC title during the 2018 campaign under 3rd-year head coach Nat St. Laurent.
The Polar Bears had a historic year that featured numerous broken records and an OAC regular season title after going 14-3 overall and posting a 7-1 record in the conference.
A school-record nine Ohio Northern players were named All-Ohio Athletic Conference in men's lacrosse for 2018.

Story and photos by Monty Siekerman Note: Monty took his camera to a recent Ada swim meet and focused on the activities taking place around the pool's edge.
Swim meets draw a lot of people because there are many team members and their friends and relatives come to watch the action.
• There are about 75 members on a team with 6 age groups competing in four different strokes. Since swim meets occur near suppertime, downing a hotdog from the concession stand is a popular choice for a quick meal before the meet begins, as evidenced by Boston Barker.

For the fourth year, Crafton Beck, Lima Symphony Orchestra music director, conducts the Lima Symphony Orchestra—but this will be his last year doing so since he is retiring from the LSO next season.
He plans to spend more time composing and will continue to direct the Mississippi State Symphony. Beck has served as LSO music director for the past 22 years.
The LSO has had only two directors in its 50-year history. His farewell concert will be next April.
