Winds of this winter ‘trim’ a few of your trees?

The Village Voice: April 3 next village brush pick-up

Have the winds of this winter helped ‘trim’ a few of your trees? Do you need to have some limbs picked up and chipped? Now is your chance!

The Village will conduct its next monthly service of brush pick up/chipping and pick up on Monday, April 3.

There is a $20 base fee for brush pick up, and will be added to the property’s active water bill. If there is not an active water bill, the property owner will be billed the fee.

Any brush in the tree lawn area is subject to pick up and billing.

One of the goals of brush chipping and pickup is to keep the tree lawn areas of the Village clear of debris, so that debris litter does not enter the storm sewer system.

ONU president and first lady experience India in global expansion effort

During the trip, DiBiasio spoke with faculty from several Indian educational institutions, including Banaras Hindu University, one of the largest residential universities in Asia.

Part of Ohio Northern University’s vision for its future is to branch out globally and introduce new parts of the world to opportunities at ONU. On the other side of the world, ONU has recently planted some seeds for the future in Varanasi, India.

In January, ONU President Dan DiBiasio and First Lady Chris Burns-DiBiasio accompanied David Berger, mayor of Lima, Ohio, on a trip to Varanasi, India, to begin cultivating a potential new sister-city relationship between Lima and Varanasi.

Both the DiBiasios and James and Karen Harder, Bluffton University, took Berger up on an invitation to attend as educational counterparts for the Lima area.
