Astronauts, Earth and Space - your science lesson for the summer

The Ada Public Library sponsored a program about astronauts, Earth and Space on Tuesday afternoon at Community Health Professionals. Reed Steele of Toledo presented the program.

About 75 youngsters and adults were on hand for the science lesson.

Next prince and princess tea at The Inn is July 24

To give a dog a forever home, contact the Hardin County dog shelter. It is located at 49 Jones Road on the west side of Kenton.

Generally, about 20 to 25 dogs are available for viewing.

Grace Gospel Church throws a party

Grace Gospel Church held a block party, open to the public, on Saturday at the church, 323 N. Gilbert St.

Here, Jenna Craig paints Elijah Craig's face.

There were hot dogs, games, a bounce house, music and more for all those who attended the party on a pleasant Saturday.

Zumba in the Wata

Lynne Scott leads an aqua zumba class at the Ada Pool on Saturday afternoon. Lynne is a certified aqua zumba instructor and certified to teach zumba on land, too. She has led several zumba classes on terra firma in several towns. The fast-paced aqua zumba routine is held every Saturday at the Ada pool from 12:05 to 12:40 p.m. About 13 people attend each week. Paul Cramer was principal at Ada High School for nine years

Paul H. Cramer, Jr., 82, died on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at 3:15 a.m. at Blanchard Place in Kenton, Ohio.

He was born on Oct. 19, 1923 in Lima, Ohio, to Rev. Paul H. and Mildred (Hullinger) Cramer who preceded him in death. His stepmother was Edna Christmer Cramer who also preceded him in death. He married Patsy Cox Cramer on Dec. 7, 1956 and she died on March 22, 1988.

Mr. Cramer retired as Superintendent of Fostoria City Schools in 1984. He was a broker with Century 21 Sunway Realty in Ada and Bluffton until his retirement in 1998. He also owned Cramer’s Income Tax Service & Paul Cramer & Associates Real Estate in Ada.

Step on a crack and...create some art

You heard the ditty from your friends when you were a kid: don't step on a crack or you'll break your mother's back.

It wasn't cracks you had to watch out for at the library Friday afternoon, it was rainbows, butterflies, even a boat you had to avoid.

Crowning a princess

Ada: Ford Model A Capital of Ohio for the day

Ada served as the unofficial Ford Model A Capital of Ohio on Thursday.

Nearly 40 of the classic vehicles, ranging in models from 1928 to 1931 spent the day in town.

The vehicles were from the Penn-Ohio Model A Ford Club. Their visit here is part of the club’s 2016 Back Roads Tour taking place from June 19-24.
