COLUMBUS GROVE--The Ada High School girls soccer team lost 4-0 at league leader Columbus Grove in a Northewest Conference match Monday night, September 19.

The Ada record dropped to 4-4 overall and 0-2 in the NWC with the defeat. CG improved to 6-0 overall and 3-0 in the NWC to stay atop the league standings.

Junior Katie Sizemore made 24 saves in goal for Ada.

The Ada girls (0-2 NCOSA) host Upper Sandusky (3-2-1, 1-1 NCOSA) Thursday at 5 p.m.

RAWSON--The Ada High School varsity volleyball team finished a strong third  at the eight-team Cory-Rawson Invitational competition Saturday, September 17.

The Lady Bulldog season record improved to 9-5 after winning two of their three matches at Cory.

In the first round, Ada beat North Baltimore 25-20, 25-22.

BLUFFTON⎯The Ada High School football team fell behind early yet battled back only to eventually lose 31-7 to Bluffton in a Northwest Conference battle Friday, September 16, at Harmon Field.

Ada dropped to 1-4 and 0-2 in the NWC with the defeat. Meanwhile, the Pirates improved to 3-2 and 2-0 in the league with their second straight win.

The Ada High School volleyball team surged late to grind out a four-set bout over visiting Columbus Grove in a Northwest Conference battle Thursday evening, September 15.

The hard-fought 25-21, 23-25, 25-23, 25-23 victory upped the Ada Bulldog record to 7-4 overall and 1-2 in the NWC. CG dropped to 2-7 and 0-2 in the NWC with the tough loss.

"I am very proud of how we played; I don't remember the last time we beat Grove, probably five years ago," said Ada head coach Kyleigh Woodruff. "We played with a lot of hustle and energy. We didn't give up when things did not go our way in the fifth set."

Ada won the first set 25-21.

FINDLAY--The Ada High School boys soccer team lost 3-0 at Liberty-Benton   Thursday evening, September 15, in North Central Ohio Soccer Association action.

The Bulldog record dropped to 4-2-2 overall and 0-2 in NCOSA play with the defeat.

L-B improved to 5-3 and 2-0 in the NCOSA standings with the win.

Ada (1-0 NWC) hosts league foe Lincolnview (3-4-1, 1-1 NWC) Monday, September 19 at 7 p.m.

BLUFFTON⎯The Ada High School golf team played in a three-team match of Hardin County rivals Wednesday, September 14 at the Bluffton Golf Course.

Hardin Northern won with 213 strokes, followed closely by Ridgemont at 216. Ada was third with a respectable 236 total.
