We understand you were homecoming queen this year. What thoughts went through your mind when your name was announced on the football field?

Oh I didn't know what to think, honestly. I was overjoyed and surprised and just so grateful. I didn't think much, I just felt it all and it was wonderful, to say the least.

Have you decided on your college plans next year?

I've decided to go to Rhodes for two years for all my prerequisite classes, and then I plan on finishing college at either the OSU branch in Lima or going to Columbus.

What colleges have you or do you plan to visit? What do you intend to study?

I would like to see the OSU campus in Columbus because I've already seen the one in Lima. I plan to major in psychology so I can become a guidance counselor. I would also like to take the necessary classes to become an art teacher as well, as a fallback career.

What’s the current book you are reading? How many books do you read in a month?

Well, I'm in AP English 12 this year and we're always reading something. Right now it is "Frankenstein." On my own time I'm juggling a few books. They are "The Catcher In The Rye" (which I'm rereading), The "Illiad/ The Oddessy," and a biography of the Elephant Man (Joseph Merrick). I usually read about two books a month.

Were you in line to watch the premier of the latest Hunger Games movie?

Yes, my dad and I saw it. He wasn't a huge fan of this particular part of the series because there wasn't a lot of action but I enjoyed it because it seemed to really reinforce the characters true and core personalities.

Tell us what classes you are taking at Ada HS this semester?

Communications/Personal Finance for postsecondary credit, Art IV for postsecondary credit , DOGS Volunteer, French IV, AP English 12, Physics for postsecondary credit, and Precalculus/Trigonometry.

Which is the most difficult?

I struggle the most with Physics, honestly.

What organizations do you participate in at school?

I'm on Art Club, the vice president for NHS, president of Film Club, secretary for Language Club, and I am now in the stage crew for Ada's play this year.

What do you eat for lunch? Pack or buy?

I buy everyday now. I used to pack everyday until 5th or 6th grade. I got tried of being jealous of the good school food days.

Are you right-brained or left-brained?

I would say they're very balanced. I like to consider all sides of a decision or a situation,  and appeal to both the logical and the emotional aspects. Although I would say I'm predominantly  left-brained, in the sense that, say,  just because I'm mad or angry, I won't fly off the handle because on what I'm feeling. I would stay logical and try to stay calm and collected.

What’s your advice for underclassmen who will eventually become seniors?

I would tell them that high school will suck sometimes, but don't let it consume you, as easy as it may be. You'll miss all the time you lost with peers. Teachers are good and understanding, and will help and listen.

I would say, try your best. Everyone I know who slacked of early in high school and are seniors are feeling the heat now, and they regret their laziness. All in all, try to enjoy this part of your life. It can shape you and it only happens once, like everything in life.

Through the good and the bad, you will make it, and you are not alone. Then one day you'll be wearing that gown and saying farewell. Live well and honestly so you can look back with pride and not regret.

If you could take any famous living person to dinner in an Ada restaurant, who would you invite and where would you go to eat?

Well my favorite person is Tom Hiddleston, he's the actor that played Loki in Thor and The Avengers. He is such a good person, I swear he's the best. I would maybe go to Viva Marias, because I haven't been there yet, and he surely hasn't, but I've heard it's really good. It would be something new for both of us.

Thanks for talking with us and good luck for the rest of the school year.
