Margaret Louise Williams, 91, died at 8:15 p.m. on June 14, 2014 at Lost Creek Care Center, Lima, Ohio.
She was born on July 23, 1922 in Lima, Ohio to Clifford and Sadie (Hinkle) Fredericks. She was preceded in death by her father, mother and step mother, Violet N. Fredericks. In October of 1941, she married James Robert Williams, Sr. and he preceded her in death on July 4, 1977.
Margaret was a homemaker and a member of the LaFayette Congregational Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher for over fifty years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #121 of LaFayette.
Surviving are a son, James R. (Marilyn) Williams, Jr. of Harrod; two daughters, Dianne L. (Dave) Slosser of Port Clinton and Gerri K. (Phil) Hawk of LaFayette; a daughter-in-law, Linda Robinson of LaFayette; three grandchildren, Jim Hawk, Jim (Melinda) Williams and Sarah (Brandon) Wireman; seven great grandchildren, Abby and Alexa Hawk, Kyle, Hannah and Jacob Williams, and Lauren and Brandon Wireman; a half brother, Charles Fredericks of Bradenton, Fla.; two nephews, Gary Williams of Chicago, Ill. and Chuck Williams of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; and special friends and neighbors, Tony and Carolyn Treglia.
She was preceded in death by a son, John D. Williams; a sister, Imogene McVicker; and a half brother, Terry Fredericks.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at the Congregational Christian Church, 201 West Main Street, LaFayette, with Pastor Robert Brown and Pastor Charles Moeller officiating. Burial will be in LaFayette Cemetery, LaFayette.
Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
