CONVOY__The visiting Ada High School girls basketball team lost 66-18 at league power Crestview in a Northwest Conference contest on February 1.
The Knights led 14-6 after the first period, and stretched the advantage to 30-12 at halftime.
Crestview ace Cali Gegory tallied 11 points in a dominant 27-2 third period to put the game well out of reach.
Gregory scored all 19 of her points in the second and third quarters.
Ada dropped to 7-11 and 0-6 in the NWC with the one-sided loss. Meanwhile, Crestview improved to 17-2 and 6-1 in the NWC after the victory.
“The girls played extremely hard and gave everything they had,” said Bulldog head coach Zach Ricker.
Sophomore post Anna Conley led Ada with eight points on four field goals. Senior Autumn Andreasen added four points.
Ellie Kline scored 14 points and made two triples for the Knights. Kaci Gregory contributed nine markers, and Josie Kulwicki added eight. Myia Etzler tallied seven points.
The Bulldogs connected on eight two-point baskets, and sank zero treys.
Ada converted both of its two free throws (100 percent), while Crestview canned nine of their 13 charity stripe attempts (69 percent).
The Knight girls drilled 24 two-point goals and connected on three trifectas.
The Bulldogs visit struggling North Baltimore (1-16) Saturday in a girls/boys doubleheader.
Ada hosts Calvary Christian next Tuesday, and entertains Leipsic (8-9, 1-6 NWC) Thursday to finish a span of five games in 11 days. The Viking girls lost to Delphos Jefferson 60-37 Thursday.
