Bulldog soccer ace Marshall voted 1st team all-district 

Burkhart, Poling, Sizemore earn honorable mention

The Ada High School girls soccer team placed four players on all-district teams in voting recently conducted by the Northwest Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association.

Ada finished 8-7-3 overall to set a program mark for wins in a season. The Bulldogs advanced to the sectional finals before losing to top seed Van Buren.

Ada senior scoring ace forward Ella Marshall was voted first team all-district for Division III. 

Marshall broke her own Ada program single-season record with 22 goals, and set the mark for career goals with 51. She also tied the Lady Bulldog season assist record this year with 13.

She averaged 1.6 goals and 0.9 assists per game.

She is the all-time assist leader in program history with 23 helpers, and co-holds the record for assists in a season. She set the record of 13 assists in a season last season.

Burkhart scored 11 goals and dished out seven assists this season.

Junior Lexi Poling also earned honorable mention all-district notice. She scored 10 goals and doled out four assists.

Senior goalkeeper Katie Sizemore was named honorable mention all-district as well. She posted a program record with four shutouts, and made 188 saves. She allowed 2.77 goals per match.

Ottawa-Glandorf ace Myka Aldrich was voted Div. III district Player of the Year. O-G mentor Michelle Maag was named Coach of the Year.

 

Northwest Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association Academic Awards

Several Ada varsity senior soccer players were recognized for the academic achievement of a 3.7 or higher grade point average for their high school careers.

Marshall, Sizemore, Kiah Hefner, Elsie Alen and Karmen Hall earned the academic honor.
