By Cort Reynolds

The Ada High School football team placed four players on the All-Northwest Conference teams in voting conducted Sunday, October 22, by the league coaches.

Junior tackle Dalton Amos was voted second team All-NWC defense. He was one of the team’s top tacklers and led the Bulldogs in sacks.

Ada junior quarterback Levi Green earned honorable mention notice despite being hampered by injuries much of the season. He threw for 663 yards and rushed for 680 yards with seven touchdowns. Green led NWC quarterbacks in rushing yardage.

Senior lineman Owen Arnett was named honorable mention all-league on offense.

Ada junior placekicker Logan Jolliff was named honorable mention all-league at the specialist position. He scored 30 points on extra points and field goals this season.

Elusive junior running back Trenton Barraza of league champion Columbus Grove was named Offensive Player of the Year. He ran for just over 1,300 yards and scored 20 TDs.

Bluffton junior linebacker Landen Worcester was voted NWC Defensive Player of the Year, and was also first team All-NWC at running back.

CG mentor Andy Schafer was tabbed NWC Coach of the Year by his peers.

Grove beat fellow unbeaten Bluffton in the regular season finale to win the NWC title at 7-0. Bluffton (6-1) was second, followed by Leipsic (5-2) in third.

Crestview finished fourth (4-3), with defending champion Allen East fifth (3-4). Ada, Spencerville and Delphos Jefferson all tied for sixth at 1-6.
