ADA __ The Ohio Northern women's soccer team won the program's sixth OAC Tournament Championship with a 3-2 victory over John Carroll on a beautiful Saturday afternoon.

John Carroll scored first in the 11th minute to go up 1-0 early in the game.
Senior Alyssa Beckett (Monroe) answered with a goal just 1:31 later off an assist from fifth-year senior Kylie Cabana (Dexter, Mich.) to tie the game up.
Junior Haley Cannon (Oregon/Clay) scored unassisted in the 26th minute to take the lead.
Senior Jess Gast (Perrysburg) scored off an assist from senior Emma Bowman (Novi, Mich./Northville) just before halftime to go up 3-1.
The Blue Streaks scored a late goal in the 86th minute, but the Polar Bears held on to win.
Sophomore Emma Gramke (Dayton/Centerville) had two saves in goal for ONU.
ONU out-shot JCU 23-8 and had a 9-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Ohio Northern leads the all-time series between the two schools by a 29-15-2 margin, including a 4-1-4 record in Kerscher Stadium.
This is Ohio Northern's third OAC Tournament title in four years and sixth crown overall.
The Polar Bears have clinched an automatic bid into the NCAA III Tournament.
