Ezra Moore, age 87, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 22, 2021 at 2:05 p.m. at Lima Memorial Health System.
He was born on November 2, 1933 in Floyd County, Kentucky to Samuel and Rose Ellen Moore. His mother Rose passed away when Ezra was an infant. He was raised by his father Samuel and his mother, Maudie Chaffins Moore, who preceded him in death. On November 13, 1954 Ezra married Roberta Allen and she passed away on August 16, 2017.
Ezra retired from Sheller Globe, Lima. He was a member of the McGuffey Freewill Baptist Church. He enjoyed deer and bear hunting.
Surviving are three daughters: Rose (Don) Webb of Alger, Linda (Robert) O’Brien of Elida and Suzanne (Harold) James of Lima; six grandchildren: Craig (Yukiuko) Hoffman, Angela Miller, Aimee’ (Jay) Cotten, Dallas (Tara) Hoffman, Christina (Tim) Crum and Stephanie (Isaac) Myers; twelve great grandchildren: Kaitlyn Cox, Joey Miller, Brandon Kenny, Isabella Hoffman, Zachary Hoffman, Penelope Hoffman, Yume-Chan Hoffman, Claire Cotten, Alex Cotten, Madison Crum, Graham Myers and Andrew Crum; two brothers: Ray Moore and Jarvis Moore both of Kentucky; and three sisters: Ruth Collins of Kentucky, Ikie Collins of Indiana and Gladys Draper of Forest.
Ezra was preceded in death by four brothers: Rufus Moore, Jay Moore, Delmar Moore and Paul Moore; and five sisters: Edna Moore, Elsie Moore, Sylvia Furr, Clara Fraley and Faye Hale.
Funeral Services will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 27, 2021at McGuffey Freewill Baptist Church, 205 Courtright Street, McGuffey, Ohio with Rev. Donald Webb officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday, October 27 from 11:00 - 12:00 p.m.
