Ohio Northern rolled to a 43-0 victory in an "American Football International Friendly" over the Univerisity College Dublin All-Stars on Wednesday evening on the UCD campus.
The Polar Bears improve to 3-0 in international competition after winning 77-0 in Germany in 2007 and 63-6 in Italy in 2010.
The UCD squad consisted of a composition of players from several area teams from the major american football league in Ireland, NFL-Ireland. The teams played 12 miniutes quarters and the offense could opt for a 40-yard automatic punt on fourth down, if desired.
Josh Colbert ran for three touchdowns and Justin Buenger and Tyler Rue ran for one score each to lead the ONU offense.
Buenger ran 21 times for 171 yards, Colbert gained 113 yards on 13 carried and Rue ran sven times for 47 yards and Connor Devine ran eight times for 19 yards.
Rue completed 5 of 18 passes for 73 yards and Devine completed 4 of 7 passes for 41 yards.
Although the game was much more competitive than games in previous years, ONU was in control from the onset, marching 84 yards in 11 plays on its first possession, scoring on a 19-yard run by Colbert, who also played most of the game at safety.
Buenger plowed over from 1-yard out with 9:00 left in the first half to put ONU up 14-0.
An interception by Josh Bryan on the ensuing play set up ONU at the 1-yard line and Rue scored on the next play to make it a 21-0 game.
Northern made it 24-0 at intermission on a 42-yard field goal by Matt Chaney as the half expired.

Mike King sacked the UCD quarterback for a safety just 1:04 into the third quarter to put the Polar Bears up 26-0.
Colbert scored from 11 yards out on ONU's ensuing possession and the lead was 33-0 with 7:52 left in the third.
Luke Rice drilled a 27-yard field goal with 16 s.
