Terry Essex 1952 - 2021
Terry Eugene Essex, 69, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, after a valiant fight with lung disease.
He was born on Jan. 31, 1952, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Zelma (Myers) Schaub and Harold Essex.
Terry is survived by his wife Doris of Ada; his daughter, Wanda (Robbie) Meyers of Wapakoneta; his son, Kyle (Taylor) Essex of Wapakoneta; his step daughter, Kristina (Anthony) Aldora of St. Marys; and his step son, Jonathon (Anna) Schindler of Lima.
Also surviving is his granddaughter, Jessica Staley; grandsons: Anthony (Samantha) Aldora, Jerimiah, Elijah, Malaki and Jaxson Essex; great grandsons: Damian and Daxton Aldora, Jacob and Zach Meyers; great granddaughter, Ezra Burton; brothers: Rene (Cindy) Essex, Gary (Lynette) Essex and Dennis (Tammy) Schaub; sister, Deb Cotterman; as well as several nieces and nephews who dearly loved their uncle Terry.
Terry was preceded in death by his first wife, Darlene (Daniels) Essex; his three daughters: Misty, Hope and Crystal; and his brothers: Jack (Carol) Myers and Roger (Marcia) Essex.
Terry loved his family and friends dearly and will be remembered for making people smile. His favorite things to do included: fishing and watching his beloved Cleveland Browns and The Ohio State Buckeyes.
Attendance will be restricted at the funeral and visitation based on space to accommodate social distancing requirements. Face coverings must be worn while attending visitation and service.
Private family services will be held at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada, with Pastor Tim Rash, Sr. officiating. The funeral service for Terry will be live streamed on the Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services Facebook Page beginning at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 11.
Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 11, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada.
