Ada Historical Society meets

The newly-formed Ada Historical Society met on Monday at the Ada Public Library and discussed:
Planning an annual meeting;
Finding out what historical items about Ada are located elsewhere, such as Allen County and Kenton museums;
Setting a dues structure;
Future projects.

All of those interested in helping organize the Society are invited to the next meeting, which will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec.11, at the library.
Society President Rhett Grant made a presentation Tuesday to Village Council about the Society's formation and plans. He also asked Council to appoint one of the directors to the Society board.

Photo: Those attending the meeting included (standing, from left) Paul Logsdon, Lee Crouse, Jon Umphress, Kathleen Anspach, Rich Meininger; (seated) Rhett Grant, Ruth Roider; (behind the camera) Monty Siekerman. They view a large poster that was printed in 1992 and includes sketches of businesses and business owners at that time. This poster belongs to the library. Another is attached to the wall inside the city building, visible as one walks in. The later identifies all of the businesses and owners drawn on the poster, except for two people. Could you help identify them?
