The feel of autumn

It's beginning to feel like autumn at New Leaf Garden Center, 395 State Route 235, Ada. The garden center has lots of fall plants and decorative items.

Dear Reader: If you’re like me, sleep affects every aspect of life and so it is important to get enough of it (or at least try). Having a young family, I understand this is often easier said than done. However, simple steps that can be taken to maximize chances for success, especially if removing medication is your goal.

Here's an interesting "ink blotter" advertising piece from Ada. It's from Barney's City Cigar Store, first door north of First National Bank.

The owner, H.M. "Barney" McGonigle, of Ada, offered all kinds of hot sandwiches, home made pies and soups, smoky goods and pool.

The store's "instant service" offered the best coffee in town. Here's the question that ages you: Can you explain the purpose of an ink blotter?

Drive Time Driving Instruction offers accelerated class

An accelerated driver's training class will be offered by Drive Time Driving Instruction in Bluffton from Oct. 28 to Nov. 3.
