Beacon Realty name change - same great service

Becky Neville’s Main Street Ada real estate brokerage became an independent agency this spring. Its name is now Beacon Realty.

“We continue with the same great service and professional attitude toward real estate,” she said.

Neville’s real estate background goes back 30 years in Hardin County. In July 2001, she opened her office on Main Street.

“I’m expanding our services. We now offer appraisals and market analysis,” said Neville, who is a licensed residential real estate appraiser in addition to being a broker.

Cessna Minutemen 4-H practicing "mock judging"

At 7:30 p.m. on July 8, 2014 the Cessna Minutemen 4-H club held a meeting at Walnut Grove United Methodist Church. The 4-H pledge was led by Preston Rembis and the Pledge of Allegiance was led by Emily Jones. Roll call was taken by advisor, Sherrie Breidenbach by asking the members if their project was coming along. Vice president, Ashley Breidenbach read the minutes from the last meeting.

Inez Moser 1920-2014

Inez P. Moser, 93, died on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at 6:55 p.m. at Birchaven Village, Findlay.

She was born on August 6, 1920 in Putnam County, Ohio to Ralph and Ethel (Pacey) Cherry and they preceded her in death. On November 30, 1939 she married Howard C. Moser and he died on June 15, 1997.

Rachel Shaw was a former Ada Herald employee

Rachel Shaw, 80, died on Monday, July 14, 2014 at 4:20 a.m. at Lima Memorial Health System, Lima.

She was born on November 28, 1933 in Silver Creek, Ohio to Raymond and Zelma (Case) Vermillion and they preceded her in death. On November 15, 1953 she married Robert Shaw and he survives in Ada.

Rachel formerly worked for Triplett Corporation of Bluffton, Highway Oil Company, the Ada Herald and Allen Hughes Septic Service. She was a long time clerk for the Upper Scioto Valley Ambulance District. Rachel attended Sugar Grove United Methodist Church of Ada. She was a graduate of the Mt. Blanchard High School class of 1951.

Coralie Guyton 1936-2014

Coralie R. Guyton, 77, died on Monday, July 14, 2014 at 6:27 a.m. at Hardin Hills Health Center, Kenton.

She was born on November 26, 1936 in Deshler, Ohio to John and Carrie (Boyer) Miller and they preceded her in death. On October 5, 1955 she married Raymond "Jack" Guyton and he died on December 3, 2010.

Coralie was a homemaker.

Surviving are a son, Martin (Wannetta) Guyton of Ada; a daughter, Melody Guyton of Ada; two grandchildren and one great granddaughter; three brothers: Tom (Jane) Miller of Lima, Dan (Rose) Miller of Alger and Paul (Bev) Miller of Kenton; two sisters: Marla Keller of Spencerville and Martha (Jim) King of Greencastle, Pa.
