Unless you keep close track of obscure holidays and observances, you probably didn’t know that August is “What Will Be Your Legacy? Month." Still, you might want to use this particular month as a useful reminder to take action on what could be one of your most important financial goals: leaving a meaningful legacy.

Friday/Saturday Dinner Features at Mustard Seed

Barbacoa Beef Tacos - slow-roasted brisket in a sauce of chipotle peppers, cilantro, onion, garlic and lime, served in corn tortillas with our own freshly-made salsa cruda and hand-shredded sharp white cheddar. Served with a side of Mexican Red Rice and limes. Pair with Inversion IPA or a glass of Reserve de Bon Pas Cote-du-Rhone.

Artichoke Pancetta Pasta - angel hair pasta with roasted artichokes, pancetta, spinach and shallots in a roasted red pepper parmesan creme sauce. Pair with a Victory Prima Pils or a glass of Sycamore Lake Riesling.

SUMMER READING 2014 is OVER:

We'd again like to thank everyone for participating in Summer Reading 2014; the numbers are in, and in case you were wondering:

  • 446 people signed up for Summer Reading:
  • 57-Babies-age 5 (non-Kindergarten)
  • 152-Kindergarten-5th grades
  • 76-6th-12th grades
  • 161-Adults

231 people (of all ages) finished, which is roughly 51% of participants

We held 73 programs over 6 weeks, with1,787 attending programs!

And as always: IT TAKES A VILLAGE!; again we thank all of our donors, as well as local organizations for your assistance in making this an amazing summer!
