Five special nighttime programs this winter-spring at ONU observatory

Like to watch the sky at night? Here are five opportunities this winter and spring to participate in special nighttime programs at the Ohio Northern University Astronomy Observatory sponsored by the ONU Astronomy Club, according to Dr. Jason Pinkney, ONU Department of Physics and Astronomy, and observatory manager.

All programs are from 8 to 10 p.m., are open to the public, and are dependant upon weather conditions.

ONU international play festival Feb. 19-21

The Ohio Northern University Department of Theatre presents the 11th International Play Festival in the Stambaugh Studio Theatre from Thursday, Feb. 19, to Saturday, Feb. 21, at 7:30 p.m. Matinee performances are scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 21, and Sunday, Feb. 22, at 2 p.m.

Just in time for Valentine's Day - Music Boosters jewelry fundraiser underway

A Ada Music Boosters' jewelry fundraiser  is now underway.

This fundraiser features jewelry products from Premier Designs. The fundraiser is made possible by consultant, former Ada music educator, and Music Feast co-founder Lynn Knoble.

This is a book sale that concludes with an open house from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 3,  at the First Baptist Church of Ada.

Things are "lightening up" in downtown Ada this month. The marquee on the new First United Methodist Church greets travelers to Ada coming south on State Route 235.

FOCUS IN ON CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

We will be joined  TONIGHT, 6:30p.m. by Theresa Price, Rhodes State Regional Representative, who will discuss sustainable jobs in Hardin County and the surrounding areas. The presentation will include career pathway information including: certification and degree requirements, job outlook, average wages earned, and websites available to help you pursue additional information!

ONU hires Lake Superior SU vice president to head enrollment management

Ohio Northern University President Daniel A. DiBiasio has announced the hiring of William Eilola as vice president for enrollment management at Ohio Northern University, effective April 1.

Eilola, who has served as vice president for enrollment services and marketing at Lake Superior State University in Sainte Marie, Mich., since 2006, replaces Lawrence Lesick, who will be stepping down from his position after more than four years at ONU.
