St. Paul's UCC pancake breakfast October 16

St Paul's United Church of Christ, on Twp Rd 25 between Twp. roads 50 and 60, will host a Pancake and Sausage breakfast from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday October 16. 

Tickets are $7 for adults and $3 for children ages 4-12. To purchase tickets, call or text 740-360-9285, message the church on Facebook or email [email protected].

Sept. 29 community meal at St Mark's Lutheran Church

St Mark's Lutheran Church, 125 S. Johnson St. Ada, will serve a free community dinner from 5:00-6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 29.

The menu includes meatloaf, cheesy potatoes, green beans, applesauce, and cookie. The meal is dine-in or carry out.

Mount Cory and Pleasant View churches host Fall Festival Sept. 26

The Mount Cory and Pleasant View United Methodist churches will host a Fall Festival from 2-4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 26. The even was cancelled in 2020 due to COVID.

The festival includes games for kids, Romick's Train, clowns, a craft and
bake sale by members of the churches, Hancock County Sheriff's Office K-9
demo, fire trucks and more. 

The event is free and open to the public.

 

Ada First United Methodist Women prepare for Harvest and Herb Festival

The Ada First United Methodist Women are participating in the Harvest and Herb Festival on September 18 with a quilt raffle and chicken and noodle luncheon. 

The handmade grey and yellow quilt was made by women of the church.  Raffle tickets are $2.00/one or $5.00/three. The winner of the quilt will be drawn at the end of the luncheon.

The women will also host a luncheon served from the canopy doors on Highland Street. There will be chairs for diners but no tables. 

The menu will be chicken and noodles and mashed potatoes, green beans, a brownie and a bottle of water. Cost of the lunch is $5.00/meal. 

5th quarter events to be hosted by Ada Campus of Delphos First Church

A 5th Quarter event for 6-12th graders has been scheduled after Ada High School home Varsity Football games. Activities will last until 11:00 p.m at Buckeye East, 123 E. Buckeye Ave.

The events will be coordinated by youth leaders at the Ada Campus of Delphos First Church, Nick and Amber Simon, with Matt and Katie Gossman, and Matt and Lacey Fisher 

Local sponsors will be donating food. For more information, call 419-558-1047.

Community Meal will be held Wednesday, August 25

St. Mark Lutheran and Sugar Grove UME will be sponsoring a Community Meal on Wednesday, August 25.

The meal will take place at St. Mark Lutheran Church at the corner of Johnson and Lincoln from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

This month's meal is a ham sandwich, potato salad, mandarin orange cup, chips, cheese slice, and pudding cup.

Curb-side service or dine-in will be available. The meal is free and open to the public. Last month over 100 meals were served.
