Bulldog boys track & field 7th at Grove Invite

COLUMBUS GROVE–The Ada High School track and field teams competed at the Columbus Grove Bulldog Invitational on Friday, April 14.

The Ada boys finished a solid seventh out of 13 teams, while the Bulldog girls came in 10th.

Bulldog junior Jackson Brown won the 110 high hurdles to post the top Ada finish.

Host Grove won the boys crown, while Anna captured the girls team title.

Bulldog baseball run-rules Ridgemont

Playing at home, the Ada High School varsity baseball squad run-ruled Ridgemont 10-0 in five innings Friday evening, April 14.  

Ada improved to 3-5 overall with the victory.  Ridgemont fell to 7-3 with the defeat.

“The kids played well,” said Ada head coach Toby Smith. “Roman (Snyder) pitched strikes and we got timely hits. If we can do that more often, we will see similar results.”

Bulldog softball buries Gophers

Playing at home in War Memorial Park, the Ada High School softball team defeated Hardin County rival Ridgemont 10-3 on Friday evening, April 14.

The Ada girls record improved to 11-1 after the non-league win. It was the fifth game in as many nights for the weary Bulldogs.

The Gopher girls dropped to 3-8 after the loss.

Bulldog baseball shut out by Pirates

BLUFFTON – The visiting Ada High School varsity baseball squad lost to 9-0 local rival Bluffton in a Northwest Conference battle Thursday evening, April 13.

Ada fell to 2-5 overall and 0-3 in the NWC with the defeat. Bluffton improved to 5-4 overall and 2-0 in the league after the win.  

Bulldog softball downs Pirates to stay atop NWC

BLUFFTON–The visiting Ada High School softball team defeated local rival Bluffton 6-2 in a Northwest Conference game Thursday evening, April 13.

The Ada girls record improved to a sparkling 10-1 overall after the win. The purple and gold stayed in first place in the NWC at 3-0 with the convincing victory, tied with perennial power Crestview. 

The Pirate girls fell to 5-6 overall and 1-1 in the NWC with the loss.

Bulldogs compete at Bluffton track and field tri-meet

BLUFFTON--The Bluffton High School track and field team hosted a triangular meet with Ada and Riverdale Tuesday, April 11.

Ada sophomore Logan Jolliff won the 100 and 200-meter races to pace the sprinters.

Bluffton freshman Aubrey Burkholder swept the girls 100 and 300-meter hurdle events. 

Ada freshman Jordyn Smith also took first in the 400 meter run.

Bulldog sophomore Trevor McGue won the long jump, while Ada junior Mariah King captured the girls high jump.
