AHS boys soccer celebrate Sr. Night with big win over Harding

The host Ada High School boys soccer team blanked winless Marion Harding 5-0 on a cool Thursday night under the lights at War Memorial Park Stadium to strongly commemorate Senior Night on October 13.

The Bulldogs improved to 7-6-4 following the non-conference victory. MH fell to 0-14 with the loss.

Five of the six Ada seniors scored goals in their final regular season home game. 

Seniors Brendan Jameson and Jaden Leal scored early for Ada. Senior Dillon Hartman also netted a penalty kick goal to give the Bulldogs a 3-0 bulge after the first 15 minutes of play.

The score stayed 3-0 to intermission. 

AHS girls soccer loss at Miller City

The visiting Ada High School girls soccer team lost to Miller City 9-1 in a non-conference match Thursday evening, October 13.

Alley vacation clarification

Discussions on the Icon Facebook page show there may be some confusion about the alley recently vacated by Ada Council. The alley at left behind businesses on Main St. has NOT been vacated. The alley on the right, immediately next to the former Cole Motors building HAS been vacated.

The frost was on the pumpkin beginning the last week of September, as show by the local weather observations for September 2022.

A high of 87 degrees on September 21 and low of 38 degrees of September 30 were recorded.

Bulldog Track and Field take part in Zombie Hunt

Ada Bulldogs wil be part of  Spirit Week at Hammer Brothers Haunted Circus in Waynesfiled.

Symphony Storytime comes to Ada Public Library

The Lima Symphony Orchestra will bring Symphony Storytime to the Ada Public Library at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 19.

Children and their families will enjoy classic spooky selections in celebration of every candy-loving child’s favorite holiday: Halloween! This program features Moonlight the Halloween Cat by Cynthia Rylant, The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything by Linda Williams, and Room on the Broom by Julia Donaldson, all accompanied by live music from Lima Symphony Orchestra musicians.
