Bulldog boys basketball falls to Allen East

ADA__The Ada High School boys basketball team lost to backyard rival Alen East 65-45 in a hard-fought Northwest Conference bout Friday night, January 12.

The Bulldogs dropped to 2-8 overall and 0-2 in the NWC with the defeat.

AE improved to 6-4 and 2-0 in the NWC after the rivalry win.

Ada weather forecast for single digit temperatures

Following steady rain and wind on Friday, January 12, the National Weather Service forecast is for dramatically colder weather on Saturday, January 13, 2024.

The forecast, provided HERE, includes a wind advistory until 7:00 p.m. and a wind chill advisory.

On the evening of January 13, temperatures are expected to drop to a low of 4 °F. There is a slight chance of snow and conditions will be breezy.

Single digit lows are forecast through Tuesday.

Elementary students engage in Dime Wars to support Ada Food Pantry

In the Ada Elementary School “Dime Wars” the winner is… the Ada Food Pantry. Local media were invited to witness the presentation of a check for $412.42 to the local non-profit organization. During the month of December, K-5 classes competed with each other to see which could collect the most change for a community need.

The challenge is for all ages and registration begins Tuesday January 16.
