Final estate auction of Dr. and Mrs. DeBow Freed

March 5 at Hardin Co. Fairgrounds

At 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, the final estate auction of Dr. and Mrs. DeBow Freed will take place at the Hardin County Fairgrounds community building, 14134 County Rd. 140, Kenton.

The public trust auction will conducted by Jan Layman (419-835-5185) and Steve Eaton, both licensed by the State of Ohio.

Lift off to Kindergarten with Girl Scouts

The Girls Scout of Western Ohio have a special calendar for girls entering Kindergarten in Fall 2022. The free monthly Activity Calendar is designed to help families and girls prepare for school.

You can receive 12 fun activities as well as a monthly email with tasty snacks to make, books to read and tips for caregivers.

In 2020, Girl Scouts of Western Ohio had 32.5K girl members, 2,510 troops, 2,304 lifetime members and 12,642 volunteers.

 

Rotary club and history class combined

On Tuesday, January 25 the Ada Rotary Club welcomed Russ Crawford, Professor of History at ONU, and 16 members of his local history class to the club's weekly meeting.

Club members learned about class content and had the opportunity to interact with the students.

In other Rotary Club news, the Ada chapter was awarded funds for registering how many members are vaccinated for COVID-19. The club, in turn, donated the funds to the following charitable concerns:

$500 to Beatitudes community center, 210 N. Main St.

$500 to Christmas Outreach program at Ada campus of Delphos First Assembly Church

$200 to District 6710 Kentucky Tornado Relief Fund
