The National Weather Service has issued the following urgent weather message for the forecast region including Ada: Excessive Heat Watch in effect from Monday morning (June 17) through Friday evening (June 21). Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values around 100 degrees.

Northwest Ohio – Wildlife District Two
State Wildlife Officer Jason Porinchok, assigned to Putnam County, conducted a license check during the 2023 white-tailed deer gun hunting season. Officer Porinchok found that the hunter had failed to purchase a deer permit.

Kenton __The United Way of Hardin County is one of twenty-five agencies awarded funding through ServeOhio. The United Way and area volunteers are working in partnership with the New Hope Homeless Shelter to create a family area. Two rooms are being redecorated and furnished to serve as a family friendly space for a parent and any children who may find themselves in need of shelter. 

ServeOhio Day exists to encourage and promote hands-on volunteer engagement while school is out for the summer. The grants will fund service projects in 20 Ohio cities led by nearly 1,400 volunteers.

The Friends of the Symphony are holding a fundraiser this summer in support of the Lima Symphony Orchestra. This lighthearted fundraiser, affectionately known as “Flock a Friend,” is a way for symphony supporters--including those who live in Ada--to offer their donations to the symphony in a fun, lighthearted way.

ArtSpace is excited to introduce its inaugural 'Open Wall' event, offering a unique opportunity  for emerging artists to exhibit their work in a professional gallery setting.

The Hardin County Agricultural Society is hosting a cheerleading competition at the Hardin County Fair on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at 12:30 p.m.
