Bryan Marshall will present a program on the recent successful season of the Ada High School Winter Guard program.

The program is given at the Ada Kiwanis meeting at noon, Tuesday, May 9, in the Dean's Heritage Room in McIntosh Center on the ONU campus. The program is open to the public.

49 students and 15 chaperones will visit the capital

Two busses will pull out of Ada Schools at 10 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10, carrying 49 eighth grade students and 15 chaperones to Washington, DC for the annual pilgrimage to the nation's capital.

Headed by teacher Mike Styer for the 18th time, the group will see the federal government firsthand as well as memorials and monuments which honor the nation's heroes.

Ohio Northern recently recognized 7 faculty and staff who are retiring and honored 3 others for 20 years of service.

Those retiring are:

Robert Beer, director of academic computing users services; 

Dr. Alfred Cohoe, professor of psychology and sociology; 

Dr. Donald Hunt, associate professor of mathematics; 

David Retterer, associate professor of math and computer sciences; 

David Smittle, director of advancement services; 

Anita Stanley, printing services manager; 

and Mary Wilkin, digital communication services manager.

Those having completed 20 years of service are:

Ben Frankart, a junior musical theatre student from Findlay, Ohio, and Joey Nicoletti, a junior musical theatre student from Cleveland Heights, have been nominated by the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF) to participate in the Irene Ryan Scholarship Competition for their recent roles in ONU’s production of The Pirates of Penzance. The Irene Ryan Foundation awards 16 regional and two national scholarships annually.
