All-Ohio Honors Band and more on Freed Center Stage Sunday

The Ohio Northern University Symphonic Band, Northern Winds, and the All-Ohio Honors Band will perform as part of the Spring Band Festival XXXIX in the Freed Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday, April 27, at 4 p.m.

ONU's micromouse team second at regional conference

The Ohio Northern University College of Engineering micromouse team captured second place at the Region 2 IEEE-Student Activities Conference hosted by Rowan University in New Jersey on April 5. Region 2 covers Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, southern New Jersey, Ohio (except Toledo), Pennsylvania, northern Virginia, and West Virginia.

In a micromouse robotics competition, teams construct an autonomous robotic "mouse" that navigates to the center of a random maze from a specified corner in the shortest amount of time possible.

Pharmacy alumni recognized at OPA conference

 

Alumni from Ohio Northern University's Raabe College of Pharmacy received five awards and several appointments during the 136th Ohio Pharmacists Association (OPA) Annual Conference and Trade Show in Columbus, Ohio, from April 4-6.

University presents 'All-American' wind orchestra program

Ohio Northern University's Freed Center for the Performing Arts presents the "All-American Program," featuring the Ohio Northern University Wind Orchestra, at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 25.

 

ONU student among 12 nationwide to receive leadership award

Ohio Northern University student Kellie Evans, a fifth-year pharmacy major from Westlake, Ohio, has been chosen as a recipient of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Student Leadership Award. Evans is one of 12 students in the nation to be selected for the award.

The Student Leadership Award is presented to students in their second through fourth professional years, for a total of 12 recipients across the nation. The award recognizes and celebrates students who represent the very best attributes and accomplishments of ASHP student members, specifically those who are interested in health-system pharmacy that have demonstrated outstanding leadership skills.

ONU College of Law tops Ohio schools in full-time bar-required job placement for class of 2013

Class of 2013 graduates from Ohio Northern University’s Pettit College of Law placed first in the state of Ohio for full-time juris doctor-required job placement according to employment data released by the American Bar Association Section on Legal Education and Admission to the Bar.

ONU surpassed the national average for jobs requiring a law degree by nearly 10 percent. For the graduating class of 2013, 66.67 percent of ONU law graduates were employed in jobs requiring juris doctors in the United States.
