Kenneth J. Williams worked for Amburgey Construction

Kenneth J. Williams, Sr, age 79, of Ada, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at his residence.  

He was born on October 1, 1943 in Waterville, Michigan to the late Frank and Lula (Potter) Williams. Kenneth was reunited with his wife Grace. They were married on January 14, 1967 and she preceded him in death on June 15, 2012. 

Jack E. Earl was a ceramic artist

Jack E. Earl, age 88, of Lakeview, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 8:24 AM at Vancrest of St. Marys. 

He was born on August 2, 1934, in Uniopolis, Ohio to the late Kermit and Hazel (Steele) Earl.  On August 5, 1955, Jack married Fairlie Hanson and she preceded him in death on June 5, 2022.  

Jack is survived by his three children: Steven (Linda) Earl, Sr. of St. Marys, Kathleen (Robert) Shaw of Ada, and Dianne (Ed) Ducker of Lima; nine grandchildren: Steven Roy (Jessica) Earl, Jr., Forest (MacKenzie) Earl, Rob (Brittany) Shaw, III, Sarah (Quinton) Schmidt, Adam Shaw, Danny (Tara) Kellermeyer, Wess (Brandy) Kellermeyer, Trey Ducker and Andrew Ducker; sixteen great grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law: Karen Kestle and Imogene Earl.  

He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Earl and a sister, Marilyn Dubenion. 

Jack was a ceramic artist. He has pieces of art displayed across the world, including in the Smithsonian Museum. Jack was the first artist in residence at Kohler Company. He was an Associate Professor of art at VCU (Virginia Commonwealth University). A former instructor of art at the University of Toledo. Jack authored a book of poems and stories, “Just For The Fun Of It.”  He was a member of Mt. Olivet Church of God in Christ, Lima.  

Ronald F. Goshe was a mechanic and truck driver

Ronald F. Goshe, 84, passed away June 14, 2023 at his residence in Arlington.  Ron was born January 29, 1939 in Alvada to the late Linus and Margaret (Kessler) Goshe.  On November 25, 1961 he married Mary Eschenbrenner Goshe and she survives.

Bonnie Minix co-owned Pfeiffer Station General Store

Bonnie L. (Burris) Minix, age 72, of Alger, passed away at 1:39 a.m. on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at her residence. 

She was born on June 22, 1950, in Alger, Ohio to the late Charles W. and Cleah (Koontz) Burris.  Bonnie married Stratton Minix on December 31, 1982 and he preceded her in death on January 2, 2016.

Wallace A. Winegardner was a farmer

Wallace A. Winegardner, age 87, of Harrod, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at 3:22 a.m. at Bridge Findlay Hospice Care Center. 

Wally was born on March 16, 1936, to the late Bud and Evelyn (Losey) Winegardner.  Bud was a quiet and gentle man and Evelyn was one of the sweetest ladies that God has created. They raised Wally and his sister, Velma Piehl, who preceded him in death.  Wally was Velma’s younger brother.  He grew up on the family farm, where they farmed land and raised various livestock. Among this livestock were chickens.  Any one that knows anything about Wally knows that these chickens had such an impact on him that he spent the next eighty years avoiding chicken and eggs or anything he thought resembled those dirty old birds.  

Daniel Allen Keller was a teacher and farmer

Daniel Allen “Daniel or Dan” Keller, age 74, of Ada, passed away at 12:36 a.m. on Friday, June 2, 2023, at The Ohio State University James Cancer Hospital in Columbus. He put up a valiant fight over the 67 days against metastasized cancer, discovered March 28, 2023, that had started in his stomach and spread to seven other organs. Once placed on comfort care he died in his sleep with his wife, Christina close by holding his hand. In 2005, Dan donated a kidney to his brother. In 2021 Dan received a kidney transplant at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
