Ernest Click 1946-2015

Ernest E. “Ernie” Click, age 68, died on Friday, May 1, 2015 at 10:40 a.m.  at Baton Rogue Medical Center, Lima.

He was born on October 13, 1946, in Four Mile, Kentucky, to Earl and Ruth (Lawson) Click and they preceded him in death. On July 31, 1965 he married Carolyn Ann Johnson and she died on Oct. 13, 2006.

Ernie retired from Trinity Industries of Lima after working for 43 years. He attended Alger High School.

Luana Penn 1933-2015

Luana Penn, 81, died on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 2:40 a.m.at her residence in Mt. Vernon, Ohio.

She was born on July 14, 1933 in Hardin County, Ohio to William T. and Ella Marie (Sheldon) Lamb, and they preceded her in death. Luana first married Kenneth L. Longbrake and he is deceased. She later married Carl Penn and he is deceased.

Luana previously worked as a waitress and was a longtime member of the Indian Lake Eagles Post #3615. She was a member of the Victory Chapel of Praise, Roundhead.

James Ludwig was a 1966 Ada High School grad

James M. Ludwig, 66 died on Thursday, April 30, 2015, at 10:05 a.m. at the Ross Heart Hospital at the Ohio State Medical Center, Columbus.

He was born on July 5, 1948 in Allen County, Ohio to Everett F. and Helen A. (Spar) Ludwig and they preceded him in death.

James worked as a carpenter and farmer. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran who served from December 5, 1967 to September 3, 1971. James was a member of the Indian Lake Moose Lodge #1533 and a life member of the Ada VFW Post #9381. He was a 1966 graduate of Ada High School. 

He is survived by a brother, Gary (Charolette) Ludwig and a sister, Jacque Sperling both of Ada; many nieces and nephews.

Nelsey Herbert: 1926-2015

Nelsy Herbert died April 29, 2015. She was born Jan. 9, 1926,  in Clarksburg, W.V. She was the only child of Delbert and Virginia Hovey, both deceased. She graduated from Clarksburg High School and attended Moore University of Art in Philadelphia, until she met and married Vernon D. Herbert, Jr.

They married on May 25, 1946, after Vernon completed a tour with the Army. Nelsy was a homemaker and mother.

Thomas McCauley Sr., served during the Korean Conflict

Thomas L. McCauley, Sr., 81, died April 20 at 1:25 p.m. at his daughter’s residence.

He was born on June 6, 1933 in Hastings, Nebraska, to Ralph and Irene (Heinrichs) McCauley and they preceed him in death.

Thomas was a truck driver. He was a U.S. Navy veteran during the Korean Conflict.

Thomas is survived by two sons, Thomas (Maria) McCauley, Jr. of Corona, CA, Ronald (Debbie) McCauley of Edgerton, OH, two daughters, Sharon (Ed Boehm) Derenia of Jenera, OH, Carol Kay (John)Wilson of Dunkirk, OH, and a sister Mary Lou Becker of Bemidji, MN. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial April 24 for Irene Stober

Irene L. Stober, 101 died on Friday April 17, 2015, at 4:41 p.m. at Lee Memorial Hospital, Fort Myers, Florida.

She was born on Oct. 1, 1913, in Ft. Jennings, Ohio, to George M. and Anna Barbara (Geckle) Moore and they preceded her in death. She married Robert M. Stober on Aug. 15, 1942, and he preceded her in death on April 27, 1992.

Shewas a homemaker and had worked at Westinghouse Electric Corporation for 34 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Ada, and a member of its Altar Rosary Society. She was a member of the Ada Senior Citizens, Inc. and a member of the Kenton Elks #157.
