Natalie Walton serves up hotcakes at the Ada Public Library on Wednesday afternoon to Leah Conley and Dexter Woods during Pancake Pandamoniam.

Leah was content to eat 3 pancakes, not wanting to spoil her supper.

Dexter, on the other hand, was trying to down 15 pancakes. His record is 14, tied with someone else.

The 5th annual Polar Plunge will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 13, at polar bear pond which is in the middle of Fraternity Circle. (Our photo is from last year's Plunge.)

Sponsored by Delta Sigma Phi fraternity, the proceeds from the event go to the American Red Cross.

Despite the fact that Ada High School jersy number 12 is officially retired, it still looks as if there are lots of Dyserts in this town.

Terry Sheridan, Ada High School, sophomore, was third place winner in the Third Annual Martin Luther King, Jr., Essay Contest.

 The purpose of the essay contest is to challenge students to think about how Dr. King's philosophy can be used to resolve social justice issues in today's society. His essay follows:
