This fashionable gentleman, well call him Fred, is sporting an Ada Icon cap.
The challenge, dear reader, is to guess where you'll find him.
Hint: you'll see him inside a business on South Main.

Don Traxler, retired education prof and former mayor, leads cheers at the basketball game on Saturday at King-Horn.
The Lady Bears are without cheerleaders, so Don took it upon himself to get the crowd vocally behind the local team during their Elite 8 game. He attends many athletic contests at ONU throughout the year. (Monty Siekerman photo)

Jon Umphress described the founding of the Ada Kiwanis Club 93 years ago when he spoke at the club's regular meeting this week. He noted that the occasion included a parade through the business district and the members receiving keys to the village from the mayor.
Here is Jon's account of his talk:
The club received its charter from Kiwanis International on this date in 1924.
Barton F. Snyder, a charter member of the club and editor of The Ada Herald, noted the following narrative in the Jan. 15 issue of the newspaper.
"The Ada Kiwanis Club came into being at a preliminary meeting held in the University Cafeteria on Tuesday evening January 8, 1924.

March came in like a lion with a straight line wind gusts in Ada of about 60 mph at 3 a.m. on March 1. Hopefully, the month will go out like a lamb..as the old weather saying goes.
Why lions and lambs?
The lion, king of beasts, and gentle lambs are contrasts...much like March weather with fierce gales, gentle breezes, pelting rains, to soft mists...a time of transition from winter to spring....welcome to Ohio.
