Want to see some neat doorways in Ada?

The results are in for the first Elementary Door Decorating Contest. As voted upon by the judges on Friday, the winners are:

3rd place: Mrs. Zellers' class (2nd grade)
2nd place: Mrs. Whitsel's class (3rd grade)
1st place: Mrs. Ludwig's class (1st grade)
People's Choice (Facebook): Mrs. Etgen's class (1st grade)

There were over 3,500 views on these pictures on the Ada Bulldog Facebook page.

120 winter coats donated to ReStore by Kenton Knights of Columbus

Members of the Kenton Knights of Columbus donated eight cases of winter coats to the ReStore Community Center, Ada, on Dec. 17.

Pictured from left, Paul Kleinfelter, ReStore Assistant Director Robert Kanzig, ReStore Director Dana Walters and Christopher Spiese. In all, 120 coats were donated.

Santa Claus invites you to have breakfast with him. He'll be at The Inn at ONU at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20. The Inn asks for RSVPs to see Santa. The Inn is at 401 W. College Ave., Ada.

New Used and Needful Things opens south of Ada

New Used and Needful Things opened this month at the intersection of State Route 309 and 235 south of Ada.

According to Claudia Titus of the business, “We buy, sell and trade items. We accept donations and include lots of items from garage sales. The money earned on sales is used for our animal rescue account.”

Home at Last Animal Rescue, also operated by the owners of New Used and Needful Things, recently received 501c3 status and is a non-profit agency.

Officers of the non-profit agency are Claudia Titus, president; John Stephens, vice president and Marilyn Dearth, secretary.
