Methodist VBS focus on Fruits of the Spirit

Ada First United Methodist Church joined forces with Sugar Grove United Methodist for VBS for the first time this year.

Rosella Underwood was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church

Rosella L. Underwood, 97, died on Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015 at 7:47 a.m. at Lost Creek Care Center, Lima.

She was born on April 19, 1918, in Wapakoneta, to Ed and Grace (Jackson) Werling who preceded her in death. On June 15, 1944, she married Richard Underwood and he died on May 30, 1989.

Rosella was a homemaker. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church of Ada. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Altar & Rosary Society. Rosella was a member of the VFW Post #9381 Women’s Auxiliary of Ada.

Last chance for a free outdoor summer movie Friday night

Outdoor movies in Ada! That's right. This summer - one more time.

"Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day," is the final outdoor movie this summer. It will be show at dusk on the Ohio Northern Univesity tundra Friday, Aug. 7, sponsored by The Freed Center for the Performing Arts and Bluffton Hospital.

 Popcorn and beverages are available for purchase. Families are invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy the movies under the stars.

It's Farmers and Merchants Picnic weekend! for the 102nd time

The 102nd annual Ada Farmers’ and Merchants’ Picnic takes place Friday and Saturday, Aug. 7-8 in the War Memorial Park.

The Cadets presented a custom NFL Wilson football

John Hohn, Director of Economic Development, Hardin County Chamber & Business Alliance presents George Hopkins, Director of The Cadets and CEO and Executive Director of Youth Education in the Arts, a custom NFL football from Wilson Sporting Goods.

Presenting with Hohn is David Dellifield, Director, McIntosh Center ONU.

The Cadets rehearsed at ONU for the Drum Corps International 2015 World Championships at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The Championship will be held Saturday and Sunday.
