ADA – The Ada High School girls basketball team lost 38-20 to visiting Cory-Rawson and a hot shooter in a non-conference battle Monday night, December 9.
The Bulldogs pulled within 24-18 late in the third period, but then Hornet senior Morgan McVetta buried a dagger triple at the buzzer to stretch the lead to nine.
C-R went on to score seven more unanswered points against a deflated Ada squad, capping a decisive 10-0 spurt with a 34-18 cushion.
Village of Ada Fire Hydrant replacement project starts on Dec 10, 2024. The Village of Ada has received a CDBG - Neighborhood Revitalization grant for the replacement of 16 fire hydrants throughout the Village.
Hohenbrink Excavating has received the contract at an estimated cost of $130,000.
There will be disruption of water service or fire protection during the process of replacing the 16 fire hydrants. The contractor will be working within the roadway so please be cautious when entering the work zone.

Producers who spread pesticides and/or fertilizer and have previously had to obtain a license to do so–due to meeting certain definitions that are set by law and enforced by the Ohio Department of Agriculture–will need to renew and recertify their license that expires this year at the end of March 2025.
