Ada girls downed by league-leading Crestview

The Ada varsity softball team lost 8-1 at league-leading Crestview in a Northwest Conference matchup in Convory on Thursday evening, April 28.

The Lady Bulldogs dropped to 3-11 and 1-5 in the NWC after the defeat. The Knight girls improved to 18-1 overall and 7-0 in the NWC with the win. 

With a win over defending league champion Lincolnview (4-1 NWC) next week, the Knights would clinch the NWC outright title.

Ada took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second when freshman Karley Wagner singled and scored. 

Lady Bulldog tracksters 2nd at USV Invite

The Ada High School girls track and field team finished a strong second at the 12-team USV Ram Invitational meet Thursday, April 28, at McGuffey.

Riverdale won the girls team crown with 186 points, followed by Ada with 86. 

Allen East captured the boys team title, while the Bulldog boys came in seventh.

Julian Grose won the 300 hurdles to post the top Ada boys finish.

Bulldog sophomore distance ace Josie Phillips took second in both the 1600 and 3200-meter runs.

Prom court voted into office

Note: because Prom is on a Friday night this year, all K-12 students have at early release at 1:00 p.m.

Ada High School seniors voted for their 2021-2022 Senior Prom Court with the results below. The Icon took the attached photos on the brisk Wednesday morning prior to Prom, with the young men of the court serving as a wind break for the young women.

May 3 ballot and voting information

Planning to vote on Tuesday, May 3? Ada North and South polling places are at Ada Community Health Professionals Bldg., 1200 S Main St, Ada, Oh, 45810.

There are no Ada or Ada school district ballot issues.

Republican and Democrat primary ballots include candidates for governor and lieutenant governor, attorney general, auditor of state, treasurer of state, chief justice of the Supreme Court, justice of the Supreme Court, U.S. Senator (Republican), representative to Congress, Judge of the Court of Appeals, 3rd district, Judge of the Court of Common Pleas (Domestic Relations Division), county commission, county auditor.

April 25 meeting update

Meeting was called to order by President Chloe Anderson. Club said the Pledge of Allegiance and the 4-H pledge. 

Next was roll call, answering “What is your favorite Color” 

The minutes from the last meeting were read by secretary Josie Schwemer. Treasurer’s report was given by Issac Anderson.

New business: The club is going to have a contest for a new club shirt design. Anyone who would like to design this year's shirt, please bring a picture to the next meeting and the club will then vote.
