Content-swap: Enthusiasts gather for Bluffton Cars & Coffee

Today's content swap with the Bluffton Icon: we're sending Bluffton readers our story on Bob Cupp being interviewed ONU's ICAPP fellows. For Ada readers, here's a look at a monthly Bluffton event:

Corn and Soybean Heat Stress in Hardin County

The 2022 crop has already seen its fair share of stress. But with the forecast of a flash drought and much higher than normal June temperatures, we will be seeing some extra stress that we may normally anticipate for later in the growing season. Nevertheless, our crops are very resilient.

June 27 Apollo board of education agenda

The Apollo Career Center June board of education meeting will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 27. The meeting will be held in Apollo's Board room.

Kenton search warrant leads to arrest, items seized

The Hardin County Sherrif's Office has reported that the Hardin County Crime Task Force executed a search warrant at 340 W. Railroad St. in the City of Kenton on Wednesday June 22, 2022.

The search resulted in the seizure of 6 firearms and ammunition: unmarked pills, 59.1 grams of a crystal-like substance, 21.77 grams of a brown substance, $910 cash, and drug abuse instruments.  A female was arrested at the residence and lodged at the Multi County Correctional Center in Marion.

ICAPP podcast interview with Bob Cupp

Ohio Northern students and ICAPP Fellows Hailey Trimpey and Kennedy Aikey got the chance to sit down with Ohio Speaker of the House Bob Cupp, who reflected on his accomplishments and the events that shaped his career in public service. This interview can be found in their newest podcast episode titled, “All That Goes Into Holding a Political Office.” The hosts dive into what motivated Cupp to pursue a career in politics and what advice he had for young people regarding the political process. 

Richard White worked at Lincoln Elementary School

Richard Douglas White, 51 of Ada passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on September 19, 1970 and was raised in Green Sea, SC and graduated from Green Sea Floyd High School. His parents were Donald L. (Cherie) White and Doris White.
