OSU Extension to Host Organic Grains Conference in January 2023

Early bird registration ends December 9

On January 4-5, 2023, the Ohio Organic Grains Conference will be held in Archbold, Ohio. This new event is geographically positioned in the tri-state region (Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan) and is intended for current, transitioning and new-to organic grain farmers, crop consultants, agency personnel, input suppliers, and grain buyers.

Hardin County flu vaccine reminder

The Kenton-Hardin Health Department reminds us that it’s National Influenza Vaccination Week and that there’s still time to get a flu vaccine:

“Protect yourself from serious flu illness. Get a flu vaccine and fight flu.”

Astronomy Club meets December 14

The next Hardin County Astronomy Club meeting will be held December 14 at 7:00 p.m. at the Courthouse in Kenton in the Veteran's Meeting Room. 

Topics for the meeting will be the Artemis missions to the moon and the constellation Lacerta.

Power outage in parts of Kenton and Hardin County

At approxminately 3:00 a.m., the Hardin County Sheriff's office reported:

"We are aware that the majority of the county is currently without power. As a result, our non-emergency phone lines are currently down. For all emergencies dial 9-1-1. For all non-emergencies dial 419-673-1905.

"As a reminder--if you encounter a stop light that is out, treat it as a 4-way stop."

AHS girls basketball scores win over Riverdale, 44-35

MT. BLANCHARD - The potent Bulldog girls' backcourt combined for 35 points to lead the visiting Ada girls basketball team over Riverdale 44-35 in a non-league contest Tuesday night, December 6.

The Bulldog girls improved to 3-3 with their second straight win. The Falcon girls fell to 1-5 with the defeat.
