Ada boys basketball nipped on buzzer 3 by Pioneers

ADA – Temple Christian junior ace Derek Shultz swished a 29-footer at the final buzzer to lift the Pioneers to a stunning 51-49 win at Ada in the regular season finale for the Ada High School boys basketball team, February 15.

The Bulldogs had taken a 49-48 lead with just seven seconds remaining. Junior Zack Zimmerman swished a clutch lane pull-up shot to give Ada a short-lived edge.

Ada Schools recognize SRO Joey Carl

The Ada Schools celebrated February 15, National School Resource Officer Day, with this post honoring Deputy Joey Carl: "We are incredibly grateful for our School Resource Officer, Deputy Joey Carl, for his dedication to keeping our students and staff safe every day. Liberty Township audit for 2023 and 2022

An independent auditor's report for the years ended December 31, 2023 and 2022 has been provided to Liberty Township trustees and posted on the Ohio Auditor of State website HERE. Findings include 1) a fair presentation of cash balances, receipts and disbursements and 2) an adverse opinion on accounting practices and the presentation of the Township's financial standing. The following is the letter that precedes the 35-page report.

Baumgartner wins 100 fly at districts

Bulldog swimmer will make 4th trip to state

BOWLING GREEN – Eight Ada High School swimmers competed at the Div. II district meet at Bowling Green State University on February 14, with one qualifying again for state.

Ada senior Lily Baumgartner won one individual district championship, and finished second in another race. 

Baumgartner touched first in the 100-yard backstroke by a large margin of 1.8 seconds to automatically advance to the state meet in Canton for the fourth consecutive year. 

She also finished a strong second in the 100-yard butterfly race.
