Sherry Lynn Evans was a hairdresser

Sherry Lynn Evans, age 74, of Ada, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Lima Memorial Health Systems. 

She was born on June 22, 1948, in Kenton, Ohio to the late Robert and Ruby (McDonald) Sidle. Sherry married Charles Thomas Evans on August 29, 1970, and he survives in Ada.

Bulldog baseball falls to big-hitting Riverdale

MT. BLANCHARD–The Ada High School varsity baseball team battled back but gave up nine runs in the late innings as Riverdale pulled away to post a 13-4 non-conference win Tuesday evening, April 11.

Ada fell to 2-4 overall with the defeat.  Riverdale improved to 5-1 with the victory.

Bulldog softball win streak halted by Riverdale

The visiting Ada High School softball team had its historic season-opening undefeated start snapped with a 7-5 loss at Riverdale in a seesaw non-conference contest Tuesday evening, April 11.

The Ada girls dropped to 8-1 overall with their first loss of the season. The Falcons improved to 4-2 with the victory.

LWV holds information session on mental health services for children

The League of Women Voters of the Lima Area will hold an informational meeting on mental health services for children at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 17 at the Mental Health & Recovery Services Board of Allen, Auglaize, and Hardin County, 529 S Elizabeth St Ste 200, Lima.  The guest speaker will be Tammy Colone, Director of the Mental Health & Recovery Services for Children. This meeting is open to the public.
