Eagle Scout project raising funds for Hardin County Law Enforcement Memorial

Eagle Scout candidate Jadon Holbrook is organizing a fundraiser for a Hardin County Law Enforcement Memorial.

The Stands Up ... for Our Fallen, Our Freedom, Our Flag event will take place on September 9, 2023. Registration starts at 11:00 a.m., kickstands up at 1:00 p.m.

The 110th annual Farmers & Merchants Picnic Parade was a great, big, beautiful display of Ada families and organizations. This photo gallery is a glimpse of the 40-minute extravaganza that took place at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 12.

Ada Historical Society asks you to buy or eat pie

QUILT RAFFLE
This beautiful scrappy quilt, made and donated by Connie Crouse, will be on display at the Farmers & Merchants Picnic and raffled off for the Ada Historical Society at the Harvest & Herb Festival in September.

Tickets are now available at the Ada Library, by contacting Lee Crouse 419/230-7584 or me at 419/302-2344. Tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00.

110th Farmers & Merchants Picnic at War Memorial Park

Family Fishing in Findlay, August 17

FINDLAY— Get out in the parks and go fishing as a family. Learn about the basics of fishing by trying to catch some fish that live in Giertz Lake. All skill levels are welcome. A fishing pole will be provided or bring your own. Corn and hotdogs will be available for bait or bring your own lucky lure!

All participants who are 16 years of age or older will need a valid Ohio Fishing License.

Pie eating contest announced by Ada Historical Society

The Ada Historical Society is hosting a pie eating contest at the August 12 Farmers & Merchants picnic.

Organizers announce on Facebook: "We are hosting the contest to bring back a nostalgic & historical game to the picnic. There will be 5 contestants, with representatives from several local village departments, competing. The winner even, ironically enough, gets a FREE trial gym membership!
