You may or may not be aware that Hardin County has had a recent outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza. It is very important that you take steps to protect your backyard flock, if you currently have ANY poultry. The recent HPAI outbreak in multiple counties in Ohio has resulted in over 4 million birds being affected and prompted a lot of questions.
OSU Extension’s Poultry Specialist will be hosting a webinar at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 19 in collaboration with the USDA Incident Response Team to try to provide an opportunity for you to learn more about the outbreak and how it is affecting both the Ohio poultry industry and the backyard/4-H poultry communities. This is a great opportunity to ask questions and see what educational support is available.
Area Area Chamber of Commerce members will meet on Wednesday morning for the last membership meeting of 2023. Breakfast is going to be provided by Circle U Waffle Co.
