Each year National 4-H launches a 4-H STEM Challenge.  This year the 2020 4‑H STEM Challenge will allow youth to explore sending a mission to Mars with the activity, Mars Base Camp.

The ONU  School of Visual and Performing Arts this week held a pop-up performance of the interactive dance installation "Windowed Pain." Dancers inside Heterick Memorial Library performed for socially-distanced viewers outside to convey concepts surrounding coping and survival through the lens of being seen and being an active participant in seeing others. Seven short works reflected being sheltered in place while the arts continue to face uncertainty and venues in our community cannot safely open to audiences. (From ONU Facebook)

Ada High School clubs and organizations are busy as October comes to a close. Here's a list of of club activities from the school website.

Ada High School film club will hold a Halloween movie night, at 6 p.m.on Wednesday, Oct. 28. Featured movies are Insidious and Silent House. 

Junior High students interested in participating in Junior High Quiz Bowl can meet at 8:15 a.m., Wednesday, in the high school art room.

Gimme Some Truth is a box set containing four themed discs of remastered John Lennon songs.

The box set was released along with John Lennon Signature Box Set and Power to the People: The Hits compilation to celebrate what would have been the artist’s 80th birthday.

At The Inn at ONU on Oct. 31.

The Inn at ONU is taking reservations for its “Around the world Halloween wine sampling” event planned in October.

The sampling is from 7:30 to 10 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 31, at The Inn, 401 W. College Ave., Ada.

The evening includes five wine samples from a selection of eight wines unique to The Inn, plus a variety of appetizers and desserts.

Wine commentary will be provided during the evening by Diana Kerr Brown, an industry wine expert. Live music is also part of the event.

Wine will be available for purchase during the evening.
