He can set, he can spike - in his sleep

Saturday morning PaintINN artists

Ladies enjoy a PaintINN Saturday morning at The Inn on campus.

The teacher owns Marilyn's Artistry. She is a muralist and faux finisher. The mural at Padrone's is one of her works. She has a master's degree in interior finishes. A PaintINN is also scheduled for April 1 and May 2.

Ada resident Han Qui Yang was a retired pediatrician

Han Qui Yang, 93, died Saturday, March 21, 2015, at 11:38 a.m. at her residence, in Ada, Ohio.

She was born on Dec. 21, 1921, in Han Zhow, China. Her parents preceded her in death. On April 28, 1941, she married Zhenli Han and they were married for 65 years. He died April 4, 2006.

Shirley Benham was a 1954 graduate of Ada High School

Shirley E. Benham, 78, of Beaverdam died at 7:25 a.m. March 22, 2015 at her residence.
Shirley was born June 28, 1936, in Orange Township, Hancock County to the late John and Cora Balmer Marquart.  On Nov. 7, 1957 she married Billy A. Benham and he preceded her in death on Jan. 19, 2009.

She was a homemaker and had worked as an executive secretary at the A.J. Heinz  Company, Bowling Green.  She was a 1954 graduate of Ada High School. 

Water Resource Plan details potential threats to Ada's drinking water

The latest phase of Ada's Water Resource Plan has identified scores of potential sources of contamination to the village's drinking water, including large-scale animal farms, crude oil pipelines and privately-owned injection wells.

Village Administrator Jim Meyer provided updates on the nine-year-old project for Ada’s Community Improvement Corporation during their meeting last Wednesday at Ohio Northern University.
