Without fanfare, The Ada Icon observed its first anniversary on March 15. For the past 365 days, this online news and advertising source has provided the Ada community with lots of information. More than you may realize.
The Icon launched on The Ides of March (March 15) 2012, with zero viewers and no advertisers. Many positive things have occurred since its launch. Here’s some information, provided by Google Analytics.
After 365 days online, The Ada Icon now has:
• 33 advertisers
• 2,000 average views per 30-day period
Sheriff Keith Everhart will speak at the latest community Lunch and Learn on Thursday, April 4 from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at the Community Health Professionals building, 1200 S. Main St., Ada.
Presented by Liberty National Bank and Community Health Professionals, Sheriff Everhart will talk about the danger of identity theft and tips on avoiding becoming a victim of it.
Lunch is provided but reservations must be made.

Top-seeded senior Kyle Kwiat became Ohio Northern's first-ever 4-time All-American, while senior Jeremy Jones and sophomore Cody Lovejoy were both eliminated with two losses on the first day of the NCAA III Wrestling Chapionships Friday at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena.
Kwiat (43-3), the defending national champion and three-time All-American at 174 pounds, advanced to the Semifinals with a convincing 18-0 tech fall victory over Zach Zotollo of New Jersey in the Quarterfinals Friday night.
He had a first-round bye and won by a 9-3 decision over Ryan Pieper of Trine (Ind.) in the Second Round Friday afternoon.
