The Ada Community Improvement Corporation will hold its quarterly meeting at noon on April 16 starting at the Depot. After a brief business meeting, the group will tour the Ada Water Treatment Plant with Alex Fields, Water Plant Operator in Training.

A preliminary agenda includes:

  • Election of 2025 officers
  • Election of Water Resource and Ground Water Protection committee chair
  • Committee reports: Industrial, Commerical, Community, Executive Board, Water Resource

KALIDA – The visiting Ada High School softball team lambasted non-league foe Kalida 17-0 Saturday, April 12.

Sophomores Dailah Preston and Sophie Fleming both knocked their first career home runs over the fence in the second inning.

Ada senior ace Jenna Bassitt pitched five innings to garner her eighth win. She struck out seven and allowed three hits in the five-inning shutout.

The Bulldogs scored eight big runs in a fourth inning outburst to put the game well out of reach.

NORTH BALTIMORE __ The visiting Ada High School baseball team lost a 5-4 non-conference nailbiter in the final inning to North Baltimore Saturday, April 12.

The Bulldogs tied the game 4-4 with a run in the top of the seventh frame. But NB tallied a walk-off run with one out in the home half of the seventh to win.

With one out in the seventh, the Tigers started their final rally with a drag bunt single by Zander Ferdinandsen. He then stole second. The next two batters walked to load the bases.

NB then won it on a bases-loaded walk that forced in Ferdinandsen with the winning run.

Upper Scioto Valley School has released the following Principal's List for grades 8012 and Honor Roll for students in grades 7-12 for the 3rd nine weeks of 2024-2025.
